Look What You Missed in January!

Hi I am Angela and I am now going to be doing some blogging for Nimble Thimbles!  If you know me, you know I am Bonnie Hunter's # 1 fan so I thought I would start out with all the Quiltville quilts and blocks that turned up at guild tonight.  This first beauty is Kathy's Allietare!  This was Bonnie Hunter's mystery last year and it is a showstopper!

The above photo is blocks from the Midnight Flight workshop--I know many of you attended and have this one in progress.  I know a few other folks had their blocks done that day, but I did not get pictures of them.  Do not look too closely at the blocks above as a few of us (ahem) had some unsewing to do at this point (and perhaps some later on too!).  Above blocks are mine and Kathy's, Becky's, Barb's and Laura's.
Here is Fran's completed wall hanging size top!  I forgot to bring mine but is is just this size too.  Fran has the best purples in there (the picture does not show those batiks off enough and a cute little bee fabric which reminds her of her mom too.
Judy brought her very first block from Midnight Flight too.  She is going for a lap size quilt.  I hope as we finish all of these you bring them in to share--they are fun in every colorway.  Judy's is going to be gorgeous!
Above is mine and Kathy's baby top.  A few of my hst geese have rebelled and flown the other way but I am pleased with it anyway.  I am looking forward to seeing and sharing many more of these quilts!
And this year's mystery is En Provence--I know many of you have this one in progress too.  This one is another Kathy's first block.  This is her very first Quiltville quilt---talk about jumping in with both feet.  Her blocks and sashing are beautiful!  She thinks she might go more scrappy next time now that she has seen some others but she admits she has the bug!  The En Provence below was shown by Terri at our Midnight Flight workshop.  You can see the sashing in this picture too.

This is Lori's son's much loved Bricks and Stepping Stones.  Love a scrappy quilt that has some element that brings it all together like the black and white four patches do.  This is one to snuggle under for sure!
So that is just some of what you have missed so far in January at Nimble Thimbles!  Come and see us and bring show and tell--especially the Quiltville quilts!
