Up Next: QUILTO with Kathy O.

Join us on Tuesday to play QUILTO and win great prizes!  Don't miss this popular annual event!  Kathy O. is graciously hosting again.  QUILTO is exactly like BINGO, but uses fun quilting terms like thread, bobbin, and scissors.

Some show and tell.
Thanks Jo for sending me some pictures!  I am guessing these two gals won the flying geese blocks this month! The next block is a Christmas Star if you are interested in joining in.
Our speaker Carrie Bloomston looks very relaxed surrounded by her gorgeous quilts!

Coming up:

October 3- Small Quilt Auction Fundraiser:  Join us for our annual fundraiser. Please consider donating a small quilt or quilted item (bag, potholders, place mats. etc.) to be auctioned off on this fun night. Likewise, please invite a friend or two who might appreciate purchasing items. This is a great time to grab a one of a kind gift and it happens right before the holidays!

You can drop off your donated auction items early if needed to Debbie Ament. She is also seeking some help with the auction. She is looking for volunteers to help check in quilts, auctioneer, display quilts in the room, notating auction results, and cashiers.  Please connect with her at Tuesday's meeting or at  Debbie's email

October 17th Meeting Toothbrush Rag Rugs.
Debbie is hosting this  hands-on class learning how to make Toothbrush Rag Rugs. It's fun and easy and requires only 2 supplies- fabric strips and a tool Nimble Thimbles will be supplying.
What do you need to bring:
  • A pair of scissors
  • 1 inch wide by WOF (with of fabric) strips in your choice of color. Bring as many as you like since you can add later to make a bigger rag rug. We will bring extras for guests.

October 19 or 20-22 Quilt Camp in Prescott-  This is a great time to get away and sew at the beautiful Emanuel Pines Camp in Prescott. The price is inexpensive,  sleeping accommodations are simple, the food is good and the company is phenomenal! You will be inspired by all the different types of projects folks are working on and it is a great time to seek help if you are stuck on something.  Only 2 spots are available. Call Colleen for more information.

Save the Date!
December 12- Annual Nimble Thimbles Christmas Party. Mary Platt  will host the party again at her lovely home. She and Kathy O'Brien, our dynamic duo, have been planning and will send out an evite in November. They could use some additional help that week. Please contact Mary by email if you want to help.

Nimble Thimble  Roster List   There have been some requests for access to the roster. I am happy to send that out. Of course we would ask everyone to use the list for personal contact information only. (No solicitations or sharing with third parties please.)  If you would prefer your information to not be included, please contact me by next Tuesday and let me know.
