Christmas in July

For our meeting July 2nd we are going to celebrate Christmas in July. Bring any Christmas quilt or craft for show and tell. We are going to have some fun and games and of course time to socialize! Hope to see you there!

Meeting June 18th

For our next meeting on June 18th we will be having a trunk show of the quilts of Arlene Southworth. It is always fun to look to quilts!

Tea Towel Aprons

We had a great time at our meeting modeling aprons and learning how to make tea towel aprons. Here are the directions on how to make them. Simple Tea Towel Apron

June 4th Nimble Thimbles Meeting

Our next meeting on June 4th will be about aprons. We are asking members to bring their favorite aprons to show and share. They can be ones you have made, found at antique stores, or the beloved one with food stains all over it! Also there will be an easy make and take. We will have a couple of sewing machines set up and will show how to make a simple apron. If you want to participate bring a tea towel and 2 yards of matching 1 inch ribbon.

We all enjoyed the presentations at Nimble Thimbles Quilter's University.  I tried using a Haiku Deck presentation along with my actual paper piecing samples.  I thought some of you might like to be able to review it again.   Just click on the center of the picture to advance through the slides.   Haiku Deck is new to me and so I'm learning different ways to use it.
