Zoom meeting on 1/17/23 7:00 - 9:00pm

Our next meeting on 1/17/23 will be via Zoom.   The meeting agenda and link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out by our Nimble Thimbles President Melissa closer to the meeting.  The presentation will be a talk on entering and judging in the AQG Quilt Show.

 Quilt Arizona! An Introduction to Entry & Judging

Did some of your members enter the last AQG Quilt Arizona! show? Do you have members who have never entered a judged quilt show? This presentation will be enjoyed by all the above, and everyone else, too!

For the first 30 minutes, Kimm will give you a behind the scenes tour of the Quilt Arizona! Entry and Judging processes. Including:

• Why enter a judged show?

• What to expect when you enter a judged show?

• Who are the Judges?

• What happens in the judging room?

This is the perfect introduction for a trunk show highlighting your own members who have entered past shows and are willing to talk about their experiences. More than just another Show & Tell – it is a chance for members to share their personal Quilt Arizona! story.

Happy New Year Nimble Thimbles members!   Our next in person meeting is this coming Tuesday at our usual meeting place (Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Chandler).   Join us for the first meeting of 2023.

8:00 Snack and break followed by the program -

Program: "How to get SEW Inspired and Organized for 2023" 

We will have round table discussions at each table and then share the best ideas with the other members.

 

How do you plan and organize your projects for the year?

 

Do you need motivation and inspiration to complete a UFO?

Bring it to the meeting to get ideas from other quilters or swap with another quilter.

 

How will you be involved in Nimble Thimbles in 2023? A board position, a committee, or maybe host a challenge or do a trunk show! Talk at your table about who would be excited to join the leadership. Share stories of some events done in the past that you would like to see brought back and new ideas. 

 

Pre-cuts!

Bring charm packs, jelly rolls or layer cakes.

Bring pre-cut patterns to inspire other quilters to use those precuts.

Or swap pre-cuts with other quilters.

 

9:00 Go home and use the meeting program to be inspired for your 2023 projects!
