NIMBLE THIMBLES COMMUNITY SERVICE
Quilters are known for their generosity and Nimble Thimbles members are no exception.
For the year from July 2025 - June 2026 we donated 240 quilts and 20 afghans to nonprofit organizations. The organizations supported through quilt donations included: Gathering Humanity, Hospice of the Valley, Infinity Hospice, Chandler Pregnancy Care Center, Choices Pregnancy Center, UMOM and VA Moms and Babies Program. Forty three of our members contributed to the effort.
Members donated quilts made from their own fabric or the quilt kits that were made from donated fabric and were available from our Community Service Committee. While some members completed the entire quilt some contributed by quilting, binding or piecing the quilts.

Thank you to all of the quilters –
both domestic and long arm – who turn our tops into quilts. Your contribution
is priceless. We always appreciate when people complete a quilt start to
finish, but those of you who turn in tops that are magically completed by our
longarmers and domestic quilters, you understand how important this is! So
thank you! And finally, thank you to the people who put the finishing touches
on our quilts by beautifully binding them. All of you are important and all of
you have the deepest thanks from your Community Service team!
