NIMBLE THIMBLES COMMUNITY SERVICE

Quilters are known for their generosity and Nimble Thimbles members are no exception.

For the year from July 2022 - June 2023 we donated 435 quilts to nonprofit organizations. The organizations supported through quilt donations included: Gathering Humanity, Hospice of the Valley (Dobson House), Infinity Hospice, Chandler Pregnancy Care Center, VA Moms and Babies Program and Quilts of Valor.

Members donate quilts made from their own fabric or quilt kits are available from our Community Service committee. You can sew the entire quilt or help with the binding, quilting, cutting or piecing.

We welcome guests, but be warned, if you come, you WILL want to join! Each meeting features a program and Show and Tell.

We endeavor to educate ourselves and our community about the art of quilts, however, our mission goes beyond that. We also serve the community through the making and donation of charity quilts.

Nimble Thimbles is comprised of quilters of all ages, styles and levels of ability. The one thing that binds us together is the love of quilts and quilting. Our eclectic group is warm, inviting and fun. Whether you are new to quilting, or a seasoned pro, we're sure you'll fit right in.
