 Meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Come early at 6:00 PM and help set up tables and chairs. Program will be Meet Your New Board/Summer Social. It is especially requested that you bring your best/favorite/most loved quilt for Show 'n Tell.

 Daycation Friday 6/13, thru Sunday 6/15. At Sweet Pz's Quilt Designs, 3536 E Tremaine Ave, Gilbert AZ 85234. Doors open at 9:30 AM and close at 4:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Sunday hours are 11:00 Am to 4:00 PM. Cost is $10.00/per day/ per person, payable to Pam the Shop Owner. This is a great opportunity to get those projects finished, especially if you're working on getting a PUP completed.  Gift cards will be raffled daily to those present and actively working on a project.  Dinette is in the shop, so feel free to bring a lunch. 

In-Person Meeting: 6/3/25 7:00-9:00pm Westalee Rulers Demos

 

  Our first meeting for June will be in the Community Room of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 739 W Erie Street, Chandler AZ, 85225. Meeting will start promptly at 7:00 PM. Come early at 6:00 PM to help set up tables and chairs.

   The program for the evening will be on Westalee and other brands of 'rulers' or templates/stitch guides, which allow the quilter to use a home sewing machine to quilt their creations. Our own Colleen Euge and Berta Knapp will be hosting this program. Colleen and Berta will be using their own sewing machines to demonstrate these rulers. Members do not need to bring their machines. Be prepared for a fun and informative program!

Our upcoming in-person meeting will be held in the Community Room of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 739 W Erie St, Chandler AZ 85225. Please plan to attend a meeting where formal business session is scheduled including elections for upcoming year, after which we will break and proceed to the program and Show 'n Tell. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for set up, and meeting will start at 7:00 PM promptly.

Our Program for the evening will be, 'HELP!, I need to finish my Quilt!' With the PUP's program coming up soon, please bring in your quilt tops where you are having a problem, a disaster, an  insurmountable issue where you need help in finishing or finding that 'work-around' to help you get your project finished, including method of quilting. All advice will be similar to that of PUP's.  This should be a fun program where you can get advice from your quilting friends 

Since we have not had an in-person meeting in 2 months, our Show 'n Tell should be almost a mini Quilt Show. Please bring in all your completed projects, tops included, to show off and have fun. See you there!

The April 1st meeting will be held at the museum in order for Nimble Thimbles members to tour the quilt show on display.  

The meeting will start early at 6:30 pm in the Neely Community Room (please note earlier start time for the meeting). After the meeting, we will view the quilts that are hanging in the museum's quilt show on display throughout the museum.

If you wish to bid on everything, please bring $20.00 cash or check (made out to Nimble Thimbles) and you can raise your number paddle on all active auction lots. Silent auction and Quarter table, etc. are separate.

 Our guest speaker for Tuesday evening will be Gale Carson, who will be speaking on Thai and Bali Batiks, and will have batiks to sell. Her program will be first as she will coming to us from Surprise.

Please bring any last minute donations for our Trash 2 Treasures Auction (to be held on March 18th).

Also, please consider becoming involved in official capacity for Nimble Thimbles. There will be positions that will need to be filled and we need to get candidates for those positions

 Karen has worked as a longarm quilter since 1997.  She has won many national/international awards and is respected as an accomplished fiber artist and as one of the innovators of the machine quilting industry.

Karen is known internationally as the creator of a style of quilting referred to as "McTavishing."  She teaches quilting throughout the US and abroad.

Bring in a box of buttons or pennies to cover your cards. Let the fun ensue! And enjoy great BBQ while playing your cards. If you signed up to bring a side dish, please bring it in. (You must have signed up for the $5.00 charge for the BBQ by January 7 in order to participate in the BBQ).   You can attend the Quilto game without charge.

 Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Community Room. Video and Popcorn Night! Technology permitting, we will be viewing a few videos that are very relevant to all of us; resizing and binding. Please bring in your projects that you have finished during December and up to the time of the meeting for Show n' Tell, that are NOT going to be entered into the AQG Quilt Show. Please bring in your money for the Winter Party if you plan on participating in the meal. Pick up a Quilted Postcard Project to finish by February. And bring in your donations for Quilt-O and Trash-2-Treasures.
